How to make connection of parts with XM-18 Temperature Controller
After reading this blog post you will be able to make all the necessary connections of incubator parts to XM-18 temperature and humidity controller.
As per our experience we have find XM-18 temperature controller as Best Temperature and Humidity Controller for Egg Incubators.
We have installed XM-18 (and its variants like XM-18D, XM-26 etc.) in many domestic and industrial egg incubators of capacities over 50,000 Eggs. Our customer feedback shows that our incubators delivered over 90% hatch rate.
Although there are different factors that affect the hatch
rate but main thing is uniform and consistent temperature and humidity. And XM
18 is good to provide temperature and Humidity control in incubators.
First of all please make sure you have installed all the parts in your egg incubator including;
- Temperature and Humidity sensor (Buy 3 Electronic Boards XM-18 on AliExpress)
- Two Heaters 1 and 2 (Buy Heater from AliExpress)
- Humidification System (Learn: How to make Humidification System) (Buy Humidifier from AliExpress)
- Egg Rotation System (BuyEgg Turning Motor from AliExpress)
- Exhaust Fan

How to make Connections with the XM-18 Controller
Temperature Sensor
(2 Board controller comes with sensor that has two black cables, connect them at No. 4 and No.5)
Humidity Sensor
Humidity sensor has three cables Red, Yellow and Black.
Connect Red to No. 1
Connect Yellow to No. 2
Connect Black to No. 3
Main Power (Electricity Source)
Connect main power Line to No. 13 and Neutral to No.14
Heater 1 is connected at No.23 and No. 24
Heater 2 is connected at No.21 and No. 22
Humidity System is connected to No.19 and No. 15
Exhaust Fan is connected to No.16 and No. 15
Egg Rotation Motor
Egg Rotation Motor has 3 cable points. Middle one is Common, Green cables rotates clockwise and red cable rotates anti clockwise.
Connect Green cable to Limit Switch (clockwise direction side limit switch), and get cable from that limit switch and connect that cable to No. 17
Connect Red cable to Limit Switch (anti-clockwise direction side limit switch), and get cable from that limit switch and connect that cable to No. 18
For air circulation Fan and light, you have to install different switches.
